Services - After End of Life

After the person has died, there are no immediate tasks.  Notifying others can wait for a bit.  Just breathe.

The coming days will be busy so it is recommended that you pause and be still with the body, with your family, with your friends.  Being present will be of comfort and support to each other.  Sharing this moment may allow healing to begin.

Just breathe.  Say a prayer, meditate, or reflect on the amazing passage that has just transpired.  Feel the gratitude of a life well lived or for the end of suffering.  Some families will have planned a ritual or ceremony for immediately after the person has died, but there is no rush.

A life has ended but there is still a role for the end of life doula over the coming hours, days and weeks.  That role may include the following services.

After End of Life
- Vigiling with the mourners
- Revisiting or revising funeral plans
- Planning for removal of medical equipment and supplies
- Processing visits
- Grief counselling referrals
