... because the rest of your life includes your death.

Pjila’si, Bienvenue and Welcome to Tidal End of Life Doula.

Tidal is one of a small group of pioneers in the emerging practice of end of life doula work.

An end of life doula is a non-medical person who provides support and comfort before, during and after end of life.  This work calls upon old wisdom; work that was done by our grandmothers before it had a name.  Now, we are the marriage of old ways with new resources and information.

Tidal supports both the dying person and the family or friends who walk with them to end of life. Services are also available to the person who is well and wanting to prepare for end of life.

Client Service

Colchester East Hants Hospice Society

My husband and I asked Cindie to help us put our Personal Directives to paper and she was happy to oblige us using Zoom to connect because of the Covid-19 restrictions. She raised some great points and encouraged us to think carefully. My husband had a fatal stroke in June and Cindie was instrumental in helping me deal with allowing him to pass peacefully and to stand by the requests he had made in his Directive. She is someone you want in your corner when planning your end-of-life scenario and  when the time comes to carry it out.
~ Sherri Mallov

Our organization has been incredibly fortunate to have Cindie’s support over the past number of years.  Her willingness to collaborate and share creative initiatives like Before I Die (chalkboard structure located at the Truro Farmer’s Market last summer) has brought difficult topics forward and has encouraged our community to have these important conversations.  Her commitment to clients has gained her much respect and appreciation from many individuals and organizations such as ours.  Her willingness to help us make important changes to our Coping with Grief booklet and editing other materials has given us the opportunity to provide updated resources to the community.  Cindie has a unique skillset that allows people to feel more comfortable in having these important conversations around death and dying.
